PBH Behavioral Consulting and Counseling LLC strives to ensure your expectations are met. Understanding and trust in our advanced professionally trained services is our valued priority. We offer Licensed Mental Health Professional services using a HIPAA approved online Telehealth platform for Louisiana and Texas residents. On-site services are also offered at our Lafayette, LA location with limited availability for Louisiana residents.


PBHBCC specifically focuses on the items being requested for Family Law and Civil Law litigations including, but not limited to:

  • Behavioral Health depositions for personal injury litigations

  • Behavioral Health assessment consultations identifying individual strengths and weaknesses, biopsychosocial assessments that analysis the biological, psychological, and social factors involved to understand how these three factors are influencing health and/or issues presented

  • Mental Health status biopsychosocial assessments for Pre-surgical clearance

  • Independent Behavioral Health psychosocial evaluations for diagnosing

Licensed Professional Counselor are described as:

  • one who may practice independently as specified in R.S. 37:1107(A) stating a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) is one

    • who holds oneself out to the public for a fee or other personal gain, by any title or description of services incorporating the words "licensed professional counselor" or any similar term

    • who offers to render professional mental health counseling/psychotherapy services denoting a client-counselor relationship in which the counselor assumes the responsibility for knowledge, skill, and ethical consideration needed to assist individuals, groups, organizations, or the general public

    • who implies that he/she is licensed to practice mental health counseling

    • who obeys the Code of Ethics/behavior involving the application of principles, methods, or procedures of the mental health counseling profession

    • who obtains continuing professional development for license renewal


Licensed Professional Counselors provide the following Mental Health Counseling/Psychotherapy for the:

  • prevention, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and limited testing which includes

    • psychotherapy of mental, emotional, behavioral, and addiction disorders to individuals, groups, organizations, or the general public consistent with professional training as prescribed by R.S. 37:1107(A)(8)


Licensed Professional Counselor, are unable to:

  • administer or interpret projective tests in accordance with the provision of R.S. 37:2352(5), except as provided by LAC 46:LXIII.1702.E, or engage in the practice of psychology or to prescribe, either orally or in writing, distribute, dispense, or administer any medications

  • For administering and interpreting projective test, seek a Psychologist. 

  • For administering of medication, seek a Psychiatrist.
